Carlo Dozzi, founder and owner of Buon Sapore, is the son of Italian immigrants. Thirty years ago Carlo journeyed back to Italy to rediscover his roots and to explore his heritage. What he found there was an extensive network of family and friends who embraced him as one of their own and who guided him on a journey of exploration - not as a tourist, but as a native son who had finally found his way home.

On that first (of many) trips to Italy, Carlo discovered many unique treasures created in the various regions he visited. With his easy charm and outgoing manner, Carlo quickly became friends with many of the local craftsmen and even formed lasting relationships with the owners of world famous factories (such as the Gino Cenedese Crystal Factory, suppliers of fine crystal to European royalty). The relationships he established there have allowed him exclusive access to some of the fine items we now import.

Upon his return from his many trips to Italy, Carlo would bring gifts to his stateside family and friends. They were astonished at the exquisite quality of the linens, ceramics, glassware and cutlery that Carlo presented to them, and they encouraged him to offer similar items at a retail venue, which led Carlo to launch Buon Sapore - proudly offering the finest handmade items (hand-selected by Carlo himself) that capture the spirit of a magical land and which you will treasure for a lifetime.
